  • Dr. Detlef Guhl
    Focus: engineering / plant and tool manufacturing

    Dr. Detlef Guhl studied mechanical engineering and technical business administration in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe and earned his doctorate in business economics. For decades, he held various management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH as a specialist in the operational aspects of corporate restructuring. He regularly held CRO positions in Bosch Group companies, including Blaupunkt and Feierabend. He then spent ten years working on an interim basis in middle-market companies (including Mennekes GmbH & Co. KG among others) acting as the Chief Restructuring Officer or as a board member, and successfully restructured the portfolio of a mid-cap private equity investment company immediately after the financial crisis in 2008.

    Dr. Guhl supports the partnership with his broad knowledge of the mechanical engineering and tooling sector, his many years of management experience in challenging corporate situations, and his knowledge of the specifics of low-yield private equity investments.

  • Dr. Frank Oppenländer
    Focus: company law and reorganization legislation

    Dr. Frank Oppenländer has been advising family entrepreneurs on corporate and transformation law issues for more than 40 years. After completing his law studies in Tübingen, Berlin and Freiburg and obtaining his doctorate, he founded the law firm Oppenländer Rechtsanwälte, which has been one of the TOP 50 law firms in Germany for many years with more than 30 professionals.

    Dr. Oppenländer has excellent knowledge of family entrepreneurship from a large number of consulting engagements and many years of experience in setting up successful consulting firms, which he draws on to actively support the partnership.

  • Arthur Zimmermann
    Focus: business issues facing family-owned companies

    Arthur Zimmermann studied economics and law at the University of Freiburg before training as a tax advisor with an auditing firm. He then spent more than 25 years in commercial management positions, including 16 years as CFO of the Klett Group, a family-owned educational company. From this position, he moved to the Supervisory Board of Klett in 2013.

    Arthur Zimmermann is Vice President of the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce and supports the partnership with his in-depth knowledge of commercial issues and the special characteristics of family businesses.
